Our algae-based wastewater technology can be integrated into a sustainable agricultural operation that produces biomethane for vehicle use, generates high-protein feed for livestock, and remediates water for improved crop irrigation. We are currently working with the Fiscalini Dairy, a leader in innovative and sustainable farm business practices. We have installed algae ponds and a membrane-based biogas cleanup skid to purify methane for vehicle use and provide carbon dioxide to enhance algae growth. Algae will be used as a nutrient-rich, sustainable feed for the farm’s cows.

With generous funding from the California Energy Commission, we are working with the family owned and operated Fiscalini Dairy to construct an algae-based waste treatment plant that will use biogas from their anaerobic digesters to produce fuel-quality biomethane for vehicle use, generate high-protein algae feed for livestock, and remediate water for improved crop irrigation.
